Rivetcue GETs each monitored source once a day. Every request has a 15-second timeout and a 1 MiB body limit. Successful captures store the source content for comparison; an HTTP, network, timeout, read, or size failure persists as FAILURE with null content and the error attached.

An alert starts only when two successful snapshots of the same source have changed. Rivetcue then asks its AI classifier to label the change as routine or meaningful. Meaningful alerts are delivered according to your notification preferences, while routine changes stay quiet.

Each weekly report looks at complete, meaningful alerts from the prior seven UTC days. Rivetcue asks its AI proxy to rank every candidate into an opportunity and a recommended action, so the report is a practical briefing rather than a change log.

Failed or null captures show “Evidence unavailable.” Rivetcue keeps the unavailable state visible, but it never invents source text or a diff. A weekly opportunity can still be considered when its alert qualifies, with the missing evidence preserved as unavailable.
